New logo, name change and excited about the future!

Some may have noticed some changes to our website, our Facebook page and all our social media!  Why the change?

In 2005 Washington Ave Pilates opened it's doors in a small store front of 578 sq.ft on Washington Avenue close to Houston Avenue. As we outgrew that space we just moved a few blocks down the street to our second location. For many years Washington Avenue was our home.

In 2013 we moved to our current location just off Washington Avenue on Edwards Street. Many clients and friends have called us WAP for years and our lovely crew here are known as WAP Girls and Guy.

So, we have made it official. In the months to come you will see the website, outside signage, and all our social media and marketing reflect this change. However, the same supportive, friendly environment with our Private and Duet session will continue. Our Teachers here at WAPilates specialize in that one-to-one teaching of clients and creating that specific workout for each one.

Moving forward Owner/Director Hilary Opheim is going to continue to lead WAPilates in not only it's path of high quality Pilates for clients but, also the WAPilates Teacher Training Program. This program developed by Hilary is a Pilates Method Alliance Registered School. Individuals who have a passion for Pialtes and want to teach are given the same personalized attention that the studio is know for with clients.

There are many exciting things planned for WAPilates future including continuing with our yearly cause of Pilates has Heart that raises awareness and funds for Texas Heart Institute, videos for clients to get their Pilates homework, the Chat with Friends series that Hilary started that shares in a unique perspective what pilates cand do for your mind, spirit and more.

"WAPilates will continue to be about Pilates and positivity. We have a focus and a path that we will continue to move forward on. Our Pilates Teachers are each gifted with looking at the individual in front of them and knowing what that body needs. Our goal will continue to be giving our clients what they need to get out of pain, prevent injury, improve their sport, get stronger and more flexible. For us the on-to-one with clients and watching the changes in them over the years is what we love and it is what we are about. We will continue our boutique style of teaching" says Hilary

We hope you are enjoying our journey as much as we are!
